One Man’s Taxation is Another’s Encouragement for Piracy

According to reliable reports Australia Treasurer Joe Hockey under the guise of preventing international taxation avoidance is set to impose taxes on many online services driving the costs up, and encouraging piracy.

Piracy of online content per capita in Australia is amongst the highest in the world. This is worsened by the 20-30% gap in the US and Australia dollar, as much of the online content is still USA centric. The delaying of popular movies and television shows has long been a another reason piracy has been rampant on everything from DVDs, Games, e-books, even online music. With sometimes falsely imposed taxations and profits from companies on products and services has made this problem that much worse.

Recently everything from reducing the time it takes for  US movie, song, or TV show to play in Australia has been reduced, as a direct result to reduce the need for piracy, and it has been successful according to many. To now add a further tax to all of this will be a major set back and less attractive for those that routinely pirate their online entertainment and services and are considering paying for for it legitimately.

Conspiracy or Coincidence ?

So there are only 35 words in the oath every president-elect  of the US must recite from the US Constitution to complete their transition into history (legally I am not sure)

Well today’s was interesting in that the Chief Justice Roberts made a couple of flubs that immediately had the news wires going nuts that Obama had flubbed his lines. On closer scrutiny it appears the chief Justice made 2 mistakes. On reading the name he paused before completing the rest of the line then again when saying “execute faithfully” instead of “faithfully execute” and “president to the United States” instead of “office of President”:

Listening on the radio as I did initially then the video later it was mildly interesting that the radio reported the mistake was Obama’s, who cares..  but on watching the video it appears clearly that Chief Roberts was the one that made the 2 mistakes  here.

No biggie, then it turns out that this is the first time a Supreme Court justice has sworn in a president who voted against him..this might linger for a bit.

Oath-gate is born !

Nine black children attending Red River Elementary School were directed last week to the back of the school bus by a white driver who designated the front seats for white children. The nine children had to share only two seats, meaning the older children had to hold the younger ones in their laps.

This seems a strange week for 9-11 conspiracies. This one revolves around the sad freak accident resulting in the death of a baby sitter for Bush’s Brother Marvin. See the 9-11 connection? No? Strangely (and likely coincidentally), Marvin Bush (brother to you know who) and their cousin Wirt D. Walker III, served on the board of Securacom (since renamed Stratesec).

Securacom had contracts to provide security for Dulles International Airport (the airport from which American Airlines Flight 77, which crashed into the Pentagon, originated) and the World Trade Center in New York.

SO is this all a bunch of junk or is there any truth at all in it?
